We do as we have been done by.

What is Group Therapy?

Group therapy is psychotherapy conducted with multiple individuals at once.

There are many different types of group therapy. I run “process” groups which consist of 4-8 individual patients and meet weekly for 90 minutes.

In process groups, individuals are encouraged to share their in-the-moment thoughts and feelings, especially those that relate to others within the group.

Why Process Groups?

Process groups provide the opportunity to practice and receive the expression of deep feelings in a therapeutic environment. As a result, you may:

  • Learn how to more effectively express yourself

  • Learn from other group members’ contributions

  • Receive feedback on how you are experienced by others

  • Experience emotional intimacy within the group setting, thus increasing your capacity for intimacy more generally

  • Give and receive support

  • Process challenging feelings and past trauma

Group Availability

I am currently forming a mixed gender, adult process group. Sessions will be held on Thursdays from 1:00pm-2:30pm. The group will be long-term and ongoing.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you are interested or have any questions.
